He obtained his MD thesis at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. With special interest in Lower Urinary Tract Disease, Overactive Bladder, Female Urology, and Neurostimulation.

Professor Mourad is the Chairman of Board of Katameya Clinic for Medical Services and Katameya Clinic Hospitals.
Professor Mourad is currently the General Secretary of the International Continence Society (ICS) based in Bristol – United Kingdom, and on the Global Philanthropic Committee for the support of Developing World.
He is Founder and President of the Pan Arab Continence Society and African Fistula and Continence Society.
He is Director and Tutor for the Bristol Urological Institute’s Middle East Courses.
Past Board Member of the Egyptian Urological Association (EUA).
Member of the Scientific Committee of the World Congress of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms of the Societe International de Urologie (SIU), Marrakesh 2010.

Currently conducting surgical and educational missions in Africa helping in the treatment of Obstetric Fistulae and training African Doctors how to manage the possible complications. He is the director of the ICS workshops for Surgery of Vaginal Fistula.
On the Editorial Board of Neurourology and Urodynamics Journal, The Chief Editor of Arab Journal of Voiding Dysfunction and is a reviewer for the British Journal of Urology, International Urogynecology Journal, Neurourology and Urodynamics Journal, Advances in Urology, Urologia Internationalis, and several regional journals.
Conducting a well established training course of Urogynecology in Egypt and receiving trainees of urologists and gynecologists from many countries.
A Guest Speaker, Chairman and Moderator in many regional (Arab) and International events including Asian, European and American scientific meetings.

I graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. In 2013, I was appointed as Associate Professor (English) at the Department of Urology, Faculty of Medicine, Hacettepe University, and in February 2021, I was promoted to the position of Professor at the same clinic, where I continue to work.
In 2008, I started the PhD program in Anatomy at the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Hacettepe University. I passed the doctoral qualifying exam in 2011 and earned the MD-PhD title. In 2010, I worked as an observer at MD Anderson Cancer Center, focusing on urological cancers.
In 2014, I conducted studies in Functional Urology, male and female incontinence, and neuro-urology at the Department of Urology, Leuven University, Belgium. Between 2021 and 2022, I worked as a visiting faculty member for six months at the Department of Functional/Robotic and Reconstructive Urology, KU Leuven University, Faculty of Medicine, where I gained experience in robotic prostatectomy, robotic cystectomy, robotic reconstructive surgery, AMS 800 artificial urinary sphincter surgery, ALTIS non-catheter urinary incontinence surgery for women, sacral neuromodulation (MRI-compatible), and advanced sling surgery for male urinary incontinence.
I am currently still working as a visiting faculty member on joint projects. In 2022, I received certifications in Robotic Surgery Basic Course from one of Europe's major robotic surgery training centers, as well as in robotic female urinary sphincter surgery at the University of Rennes in France.
Between 2016 and 2018, I served as the project coordinator for the MedTRain3DModsim project, a European Union project accepted by the National Agency of Turkey.
Since 2021, I have been the project coordinator for another European Union project, EuroSOMT (eurosomt.com), on behalf of Hacettepe University. From 2014 to 2017, I served as the Director of the Hacettepe University Advanced Health Technologies Application, Education, and Research Center (Hacettepe STEM).
Since 2018, I have been the Director of the International Continence Society (ICS) Institute School of Modern Technology. Additionally, I hold the position of Director at the Health Innovation and Simulation Education, Application, and Research Center (SİNERG) at Lokman Hekim University. Here, I manage two laboratories: 3D Modeling, Medical Printing, and Simulation Lab, and Surgical Anatomy Dissection Lab. My recent research has focused on virtual urological surgical models, 3D medical printing, surgical planning with virtual and augmented reality, and health technologies.
I have served as the Editor for two academic publications titled Digital Age in Urological Surgery published by Springer, one of the most prestigious publishers in the world. I hold two patents and I am the designer of 23 separate models to be used in urological surgical education with 3D medical printing and virtual reality applications.
I am the first person in my country to initiate preoperative organ modeling, patient education with 3D medical printing, and 3D surgical planning for patients with complex anatomy in urology. I have also published academic works on these topics. Additionally, I serve as a consultant for MedicaUROSİM, Turkey's first entirely domestic endoscopic urology simulator.
